I like software that behaves predictably, websites that respect the person using them, and systems I can understand from the front end all the way down to the files on the server.
What I write about
There is no single subject requirement here. Software engineering and web development are home territory, but I also write about technology, hardware, product testing, photography, business, design decisions and whatever else turns into something worth documenting.
Why keep a personal site?
Because a personal website is still one of the few places online where the structure, presentation and archive can belong to the person publishing it. There is no character limit, no feed deciding what survives for six hours, and no requirement to turn every thought into content.
This site is meant to last longer than a post in somebody else’s timeline.
